Kids say the darndest things (2)

Brooke (Madame le Prof): What did you do for vacation?
French boy in class whom we will call Pierre:  I go to ze hood.
Brooke (in my "I correct this all day long" voice): I WENT to THE hood.

Brooke: Wait, you did WHAT?
Pierre:  ugh... ughh... ze hood?  Robin des bois?

Brooke: AHH des bois.  Woods or Forest. You went hiking?
Pierre: Oui, yes.

Side note:  Robin des bois literally translates as Robin of the Woods(or Forest).  So since he new the title in english as Robin Hood he figured "bois" was the same as "hood".  It was a nice try though.
